Sucuk und Bratwurst has teamed up with sports brand UMBRO to create a futuristic capsule line that translates the studio’s edgy dystopian handwriting into the language of clothing.
Berlin-based creative collective Sucuk und Bratwurst has made a cult following with their intriguing 3D artworks characterized by dark colors and edgy aesthetics. The studio is best known for their unique artworks for famous fashion houses like Dior, Alexander Wang and Rimowa. To expand their creative playground of dystopian futurism, the studio has teamed up with UMBRO to create a 4-piece athleisure outfit.
“We always try to create something entirely new – like never seen before. It’s also very interesting to take objects that already exist and bring them into new contexts or combine them with other objects that you wouldn’t usually expect to see them with,” the collective told YEAR ZERO in a recent feature. The latest example of the teams’ collaboration speaks for the mindset.
The references of underground culture mixed with the virtual world’s perfection challenge the perception of sportswear. Seemingly entirely black pieces are packed with various details, which create disruptions authentic to Sucuk und Bratwurst. The T-shirt is not just a shirt with a print, but the iconic alien head is embossed and padded to the tee, logos are high gloss transfer printed with a slightly ‘raised’ touch.
The set truly offers a play of visual eyecatchers and ergonomic cuts, reflective piping and prints, mesh and ripstop panels. Nevertheless, the pieces are also functional by being windproof and having waterproof finishings even on zippers. A comfortable oversized fit builds a sense of freedom.
The Internet Shop is proud to be one of the exclusive retail partners offering the capsule collection for the futuristic dynamic identities.
